    A Baby Shower Fit For a Jedi

    If there’s one thing I love, it’s a great theme party!  So when my bestie was expecting her first child (a boy), I was thrilled to plan her baby shower along with two awesome friends of mine, Sandy and Jamye, who share my love for party planning. The baby shower was co-ed and since the expecting parents are huge sci-fi nerds, the theme we decided on was pretty much a no-brainer:  It had to be Star Wars!  I don’t want to toot our own horns too much (Ha!     Once upon a time, I used to think poop was funny – hysterical even.  I would make poop jokes, witty poop references and poop puns whenever the occasion would arise. Yeah, I know…potty humor is one of the lowest forms of comedy.  But what can I say, it’s just darned hilarious.  At least it was until I had kids.

    How Motherhood Ruined Dirty Dancing For Me

    I’m pretty sure it’s a universal truth that as we grow into adulthood, no entertainment is ever as magical or amazing as the stuff we loved in our formative years.  I’m willing to make exceptions for some of our current-day fare (Looking at you, Adele and Game of Thrones), but for me, the 80’s and 90’s was where it was at for awesome jams, captivating films, and quality TV.
